Global Careers month & Green Employability

🌍💼 Today, 13 November 2025, we are in the middle of Global Careers Month 2025, a worldwide initiative running from 5 to 26 November to highlight how career guidance supports people through the green and digital transitions.
Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
This month, international organisations, including the European Commission, Cedefop, ETF, ILO, OECD, UNESCO, and the World Bank, are putting a spotlight on how good guidance can help people of all ages access new opportunities, including green jobs.
Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion
But we’re asking an important question:
🤟 Are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing young people equally supported to enter green careers?
Recent studies show that:
🟢 The green transition is rapidly changing skills needs in Europe, and VET systems must actively anticipate and support these new green competences.
🟢 Green jobs require not only technical skills but also accessible training pathways and inclusive guidance systems.
That’s where GreenSIGNS comes in:
✔️ We connect green career guidance with Sign Language accessibility.
✔️ We are developing a Green Sign Language Competence Framework so Deaf youth can understand green skills and job profiles in their own language.
✔️ We are building VR-based experiences that show what green jobs look like in practice
Because a fair green transition means:
🔹 access to guidance
🔹 access to skills
🔹 access to information in Sign Language
No one should be left out of the green future. 🌿🤟
