P6 - National Association of Teachers for Students with Hearing Impairments "Virgil Florea" (ANPEDA)
The National Association of Teachers for Students with Hearing Impairments “Virgil Florea” (ANPEDA) was established in 2008 with the aim of supporting and promoting the development of institutions, organizations and human resources that offer social, educational and psycho-pedagogical assistance services or services of support and counseling for people with hearing impairments.
ANPEDA implements projects both at national and European level.
At the national level, ANPEDA is a partner, together with a school for the deaf, in the organization of a national festival of puppet theater and pantomime addressed to all deaf students in Romania, a festival in its fourteenth edition.
At the European level, our association has implemented several projects within the ERASMUS+ program, on different subjects (sport, labor market, sign language, inclusion, art and culture, education, ecology) for different needs/target groups: deaf students, teachers who works with deaf students, parents who have deaf children, adults from the deaf community, deaf youth.
The association collaborates with various institutions / organizations at local and national level (schools for the deaf, associations of the deaf, various professional associations, museums, etc.) to be able to offer services related to different needs at the community level (both for the deaf and for hearing people).
In order to be in touch with the news in the field, our association publishes every year a specialized journal called “Ad Studium”, which is in its thirteenth issue and which offers the opportunity to publish articles to all those interested in issues specific to the deaf.
