P4 - GFM Renovables Foundation

GFM Renovables Foundation is a non-profit organization with more than 20 years of experience in professional training, especially in renewable energies and sustainability. Headquartered in Villacañas, Toledo (Spain), the foundation operates in a 3,200 m² facility for training and technical programs.

The GFM Renovables Foundation aims at the energy transition. To achieve its aims, it performs different actions:

  • Management and promotion of energy communities.
  • Training in renewable energies. Encourage youth entrepreneurship and the development of personal skills. Promote awareness of renewable and sustainable energy.
  • Fight against energy poverty. It brings electricity and water to the most remote places that have difficulty accessing these resources.

Key initiatives over the past four years include:

  • Training in social entrepreneurship for young people.
  • Development of personal skills and professional promotion.
  • Scholarships for practical and dual vocational training.
  • International collaboration in renewable energy and environmental projects.
  • Alumbra Vida Project: A project to combat energy poverty in Senegal.
  • Project Helping Children to Be Happy: A project to combat energy poverty in Ukraine.
  • Participation in two Erasmus+ projects: PLAE and DIGI-ENERGY+.

GFM RENOVABLES FOUNDATION actively collaborates with public institutions, schools, and universities to raise awareness about sustainability. It also promotes gender inclusion and the participation of young women in its programs.

The foundation is supported by a team of 10 professionals with diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and environmental protection. Collaborating with entities such as the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the Chamber of Commerce of Toledo, and the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, it provides training that creates employment opportunities and promotes social welfare.

With international partnerships in countries such as Portugal, Chile, Ethiopia, Ukraine and Senegal, the foundation promotes student collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking to improve employment prospects. Its strong focus on dual vocational training and digital tools helps address the unique challenges faced by young people in smaller communities, exacerbated by the impact of COVID-19.

GFM RENOVABLES FOUNDATION remains dedicated to adapting to the changing needs of vocational training and ensuring better career opportunities for young people in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
